says "My work expresses the natural beauty of woods, transformed into fine
furniture and sculptural wood craft. It is influenced by a childhood richly exposed
to wood artifacts, the processes by which they are made, and the artistic use
of color in textiles and corporate art. My relationship with wood has developed
over time. It is a love affair in which I have learned to bring out the best in
the raw materials. I feel I have special insights and abilities, both innate and
