Enrique Goldenberg

Enrique A. Goldenberg is a latecomer to his art. He has been working with glass since 2000, starting with stained glass, specifically influenced by designs of Frank Lloyd Wright and Charles Mackintosh. Later he concentrated on fused glass design.

“Glass is a very special material to work with it. It has opacity, transparency and intrinsic beauty that are enhanced by special coatings that make it reflect or refract light in an ever-changing dance. Crafting this beautiful medium allows the artist to express ideas and themes and the observer to enjoy them. I relay on visual and practical research for the designs. Natural selection dictates the final design and makes for a unifying aesthetic while fulfilling its fundamental purpose. In other words, if it looks good and it is useful, it is good.”

“My background is in engineering and construction, a field in which I worked for more than 40 years. This background has helped me rapidly assimilate the necessary techniques for working with glass.”
