Ruben Fasani

Fasani was born and educated in Argentina. In 1960, he earned a degree as an Artistic Ceramics Technician from the National School of Ceramics. In 1989 he and his wife, Marcia Larrubia, opened their own studio "Fuego y Forma" ("Fire and Form") where they create and exhibit their artistic pieces.

While Ruben works in stoneware (pottery and sculpture) he has also been doing fused glass since 1996. His glass pieces combine two techniques, lost wax (Pate du Verre) and fusing glass. His wife specializes in sterling jewelry.

Fasani exhibits his work in his gallery, Fuego y Forma as well as other galleries in Argentina, Europe and the United States. Among his exhibitions have been: National Hall of Ceramic (Argentina) 48th International Hall of Ceramics Faenza. (Italy). Exhibition of Argentine National Awards, Paris, (France). Blue Gallery Kansas City, Missouri Biennial of Ceramics 2002, El Cairo. (Egypt). Ann Arbor Art Center, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Foster Arts Center, Peoria, Illinois.
